From the Book to the Streets is a collection of academic essays and treaties. The design features many illustrations and footnotes, so a sophisticated grid system was needed to accomodate the different levels of information found in the text. As this was a scholarly text, the book was not necessarily intended for continuous reading. Therefore, a variety of navigational aids were required, such as running headers.
